- Smart repair popup with auto-filled location and item, description, and photo upload
- Per-home inspection records stored in the app
- Username/password login for the field crew (shared workspace for Madison-Simmons)
- Mobile + tablet responsive layout, installable as a home-screen icon
- Downloadable PDF export per inspection (checklist + consolidated repair list with photos)
- Light/dark mode, branded for Madison-Simmons internal use
Out of scope (v1)
- Direct BuilderTrend API integration (we export a PDF you upload)
- Per-user seat licensing or SSO (Google / Microsoft / Apple)
- Advanced reporting dashboards, analytics, or trend charts
- Multi-org / multi-tenant setup beyond a single Madison-Simmons workspace
- Workflow automations beyond the checklist → repair → PDF flow
Anything not listed in scope is out of scope for this engagement. Additional work can be added later as a change order or new estimate.
What we need from Madison-Simmons
- Final sign-off on the combined checklist content from the Director of Construction
- Confirmation that the PDF layout meets the team's needs (Katherine flagged this for follow-up)
- Provide Madison-Simmons logo and any brand cue if you want it on the in-app shell and PDF
- Timely feedback on the 1-2 review cycles during the 2-day build
Timeline
Build time is ~10 hours of focused work - about two days. Start window is roughly a week out, depending on the current queue.

You approve, we slot it in
Once the Director of Construction signs off, we lock in a start date. We're typically 4-5 days out, sometimes sooner. Never more than about a week.
Day 1 · Build
Core checklist + smart repair popup
Import your combined checklist content. Build the inspection flow, the repair popup with photo capture, and per-home storage.
Day 2 · Polish + PDF
PDF export, polish, and handoff
Wire up the PDF export, polish the mobile/iPad UX, set up logins for the crew, and walk Katherine + the construction lead through it.
Week 1 · Live
First real inspections
Crew uses it on the next inspection. Small tweaks based on real-world feedback are normal and included.

Hourly engagement. One option. Billed by the hour, not as a fixed bid. The estimate below is what we expect the build to take based on what we saw on the call.

$25 / month
Hosting + database for the app. Paid by Madison-Simmons directly to the provider - no markup, no Black Badger invoice for the monthly cost.
